I am a Year 7 student at St. Pius X Catholic School in Auckland, New Zealand. I am in the SPX Nu'u Learning Space. My teachers are Mrs Tui and Mrs Lauchlan.
I will put Elizabeth McCombs on the $10 Dollar Note because she is in the labour party and she became the first woman in 1933 elected to the New Zealand Parliament, so I think that she deserves to be on the $10 Dollar Note.
What an awesome person to have on our $10 note. I had no idea who she was before reading your post but now I’m excited to know who the first woman to be elected to parliament. I have done some research and Elizabeth McCombs stood up for women’s issues throughout her time in parliament and she was finally elected in on her third attempt. Do you think you would want to work in parliament?
